The Adairsville Tigers entered their tilt with the Bremen Blue Devils with five consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with six. Adairsville came out on top against Bremen by a score of 28-21 on Friday. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Adairsville also won the last time the pair played back in October of 2022.
Leading Adairsville to victory were Jonathan Gough and Tre Winters. Gough threw for 259 yards and three touchdowns on only ten passes, while Winters picked up 213 receiving yards and three touchdowns. Winters' longest reception was for an incredible 98 yards.
Adairsville pushed their record up to 8-2 with that victory, which was their fourth straight at home. That said, the team wasn't facing the toughest opposition over that stretch, as it included 0-10 Ridgeland and 2-8 Lakeview-Fort Oglethorpe (their opponents had an average overall winning percentage of 32.5% over those games). As for Bremen, their loss dropped their record down to 8-2.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Adairsville will face off against Coahulla Creek at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Bremen, they will head out on the road to face off against Lakeview-Fort Oglethorpe at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Lakeview-Fort Oglethorpe is coming into the contest on a three-game losing streak.
