Homer extended their home winning streak to three games thanks to a huge performance from Cj Burns. The Mariners simply couldn't be stopped on Saturday as they easily beat the Houston Hawks 40-8 for which the team can thank Burns, who rushed for 86 yards and one touchdown on only ten carries, and also threw for 144 yards and one TD on only 11 passes. The bulk of those rushing yards came from one huge play: a run that gained an incredible 55 yards.
Homer's win bumped their record up to 5-0. As for Houston, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-4.
