After losing to the Spring Hill Broncos the last time they met, the Blue Valley Southwest Timberwolves decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. Blue Valley Southwest secured a 54-50 W over Spring Hill on Friday.
Lily Unruh was her usual excellent self, scoring 17 points along with six steals and three blocks. That's the first time this season that she posted two or more blocks. The team also got some help courtesy of Olivia Payne, who scored 11 points along with seven rebounds and four blocks.
Blue Valley Southwest's victory bumped their record up to 3-1. As for Spring Hill, they have been struggling recently, as they've lost three of their last four games, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-5 record this season.
Blue Valley Southwest won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Pembroke Hill at 10:00 a.m. on January 6th. Pembroke Hill comes in still looking for their first win of the season. As for Spring Hill, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against Tonganoxie.
