Basketball Recap: Make It Four in a Row for Houlka

Houlka had won three straight games and Tyler Winter did his part to make it four on Friday. The Wildcats took down the Bruce Trojans 73-55 thanks in part to Winter, who almost dropped a double-double with 23 points and nine boards. Thanks to that strong game, he now owns an excellent 48.3% shooting accuracy.

The team also got some help courtesy of Elijah Foster, who posted ten points and seven rebounds. He is also on a roll when it comes to field goal percentage, as he's posted one of at least 45% in the last eight games he's played dating back to last season.

Several Trojans players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Ayden Welch, who had 20 points and five boards. JaColbi Clark was another key player, putting up ten points and seven rebounds.

Houlka's win bumped their record up to 4-0.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Houlka will host Blue Mountain at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Bruce, they will be playing in front of their home fans against South Pontotoc at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
