Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Blue Valley North). They claimed a resounding 49-18 victory over Washington. The matchup was all but wrapped up at the end of the third, by which point the Mustangs had established a 30-point advantage.
Leavenworth better keep an eye on Lark Anderson. Anderson's passing game has become a key predictor of the Mustangs' success: the team is 3-1 when his passer rating is 110 or higher, but only 1-4 otherwise. Kayden Augustus handled things on the ground, rushing for 100 yards and a rushing touchdown.

On the defensive side of the ball, a lot of the credit has to go to Blue Valley North's defense and their 11 sacks. The heavy lifting was done by Frank Hall and Beckett Kullberg, who racked up seven sacks between them. Brock Maslowski was another major factor on D, making 11 total tackles (3.0 for loss) and snagged an interception.
Blue Valley North picked up their first home win, bumping their record up to 4-5. As for Leavenworth, their record now sits at 8-1.
Leavenworth took a serious blow against Blue Valley North in their previous matchup back in November of 2024, falling 41-14. Can the PIONEERS avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
