Jacob Ganir made a splash no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out six batters over four innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off three hits. Those six strikeouts gave him a new career-high. He was also stellar in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with four RBI, two doubles, and one run.
In other pitching news, Christopher Matz looked comfortable as he tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than one walk any time he's pitched this season.
