The Littleton Lions's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Thursday after their third straight loss. They took a 64-49 bruising from Frederick. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Littleton in their matchups with Frederick: they've now lost three in a row.
Despite the loss, Littleton still got an impressive performance from Treyton Fletcher, who scored 18 points. The contest was Fletcher's fourth in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Sam Lasswell, who scored 8 points.
Frederick's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Ian Buffington led the charge by scoring 14 points along with 7 rebounds and 3 steals. The team also got some help courtesy of JJ Strojinc, who scored 18 points.
Littleton's loss dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Frederick, they now have a winning record of 2-1.
Littleton is on the road again on Friday and play against Far Northeast W at 5:00 p.m. on December 8th. Hopefully Far Northeast W focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 14 on Thursday. As for Frederick, they will square off against Grand Junction at 8:30 p.m. on Friday.
