Huntley has gone a perfect 10-0 against McHenry recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Wednesday. The Red Raiders will head out to square off against the Warriors at 4:30 p.m. Huntley is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 9.9 runs per game this season.
Huntley will roll into the matchup after a wild two-game stretch: they only put up one run on Thursday, then bounced right back against Central on Monday. The Red Raiders blew past the Rockets 11-1. The result was nothing new for the Red Raiders, who have now won 16 games by six runs or more so far this season.

Huntley let Piper Heimbrodt and Lyla Ginczycki run wild. Heimbrodt went 2-for-4 with five RBI, one run, and one double, while Ginczycki went a perfect 3-for-3 with three RBI and two runs. That's the most hits Ginczycki has posted over her last 12 contests. Another player making a difference was Aubrina Adamik, who went 2-for-3 with two runs and one stolen base.
Huntley always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .571. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Central only posted an OBP of .167.
Meanwhile, McHenry unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-game winning streak on Monday. They fell 14-11 to Hampshire. The home team had taken home the W every time these teams have met since May 3, 2024, but that streak is no more.
Hailey Townsend made the most of her time in the batter's box despite the final result and went 3-for-4 with one home run, three runs, and three RBI. She also put up a triple, which was her first of the season. Kendal Rogers was another key player, going 3-for-4 with three RBI and two runs.
Huntley has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won nine of their last ten matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 23-6 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.5 runs on average over those games. As for McHenry, their defeat dropped their record down to 12-12.
Fans could be in store for some top-tier slugging on Wednesday. Huntley hasn't had any problems when it comes to power this season, having averaged 0.9 home runs per game. However, it's not like McHenry struggles in that department as they've been averaging 0.4 home runs. With so much power on both teams, it'll be down to the pitchers to keep the mound locked down.
Huntley beat McHenry 7-4 when the teams last played back in April. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Red Raiders since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
