The Jordan Falcons were the 69-50 winner over the Chapel Hill Tigers when they last played one another back in January of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. Jordan took a hard 65-49 fall against Chapel Hill on Friday. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Jordan has scored all season.
Despite the loss, Jordan still got an impressive performance from Zion Wells, who scored 15 points. Bryce Hill was another key contributor, scoring eight points along with three steals.
David Mirikwe was his usual excellent self, scoring 21 points along with five rebounds for Chapel Hill. The team also got some help courtesy of Andrew Herring, who scored ten points along with two steals.
Jordan's defeat dropped their record down to 7-7. As for Chapel Hill, their victory bumped their record up to 12-3.
Jordan will look to defend their home court on Wednesday against East Chapel Hill at 7:00 p.m. East Chapel Hill is hoping to put an end to a four-game streak of away losses. As for Chapel Hill, they will head out on the road to face off against Riverside-Durham at 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Hopefully Riverside-Durham focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 18 on Friday.
