The Holy Family Tigers won the last time they faced the Eaton Reds, and things went their way on Tuesday too. Holy Family really took it to Eaton for the full four quarters, racking up a 73-42 victory on the road. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Holy Family.
Essynce Contreraz was on fire: she scored 22 points along with 8 steals and 6 assists. Gracie Ward was another key contributor, scoring 14 points.
Several Reds players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Tayla Wiedeman, who scored 17 points along with 6 rebounds. The match was Wiedeman's fourth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Delaney Reuter, who scored 9 points.
Holy Family's victory bumped their record up to 2-0. As for Eaton, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-2.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Holy Family will take on Resurrection Christian at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Eaton, they will head out on the road to face off against Kent Denver at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Kent Denver is coming into the contest hot, having won their last three games.
