Last Friday, Palisade was able to grind out a solid win over the Demons, taking the game 55-43. The win made it back-to-back wins for Palisade.
Palisade got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Howard out in front who dropped a double-double on 19 points and ten rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Fred Moore, who scored 12 points along with six rebounds.
Meanwhile, Glenwood Springs got the win against the Demons on Saturday by a conclusive 79-58.
It was another big night for Wenger, who scored 27 points along with five assists and five steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points he has scored all season. Argeny Renteria was another key contributor, scoring ten points along with five rebounds and five steals.
Palisade's victory ended a five-game drought at home and bumped them up to 8-11. As for Glenwood Springs, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight matches, which provided a nice bump to their 9-10 record this season.
Tuesday's contest is shaping up to be a masterclass in shooting: Palisade have been dynamite from deep this season, having made 41.8% of their threes per game. However, it's not like Glenwood Springs struggles in that department as they've made 43.9% of their threes this season. Given these competing strengths, it'll be interesting to see how their clash plays out.
