The Yosemite Badgers can finally bid farewell to their eight-game losing streak thanks to their game on Tuesday. They strolled past Liberty with points to spare, taking the game 34-20. That's another feather in the cap for Yosemite, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
Yosemite's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jadyn Johnson, who dropped a double-double on ten points and ten rebounds. Johnson is absolutely dominating the rebound category: she's posted at least eight every time she's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was Taylor Bullock, who scored 11 points along with six rebounds and three steals.
Yosemite's victory bumped their record up to 6-11. As for Liberty, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-10.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Yosemite will take on Fresno Christian at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Fresno Christian is hoping to put an end to a four-game streak of away losses. As for Liberty, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against Chowchilla at 6:30 p.m. Chowchilla is coming into the game hot, having won their last three games.
