Having just played yesterday, the Bunn Wildcats will get right back to it and host the Rolesville Rams at 7:30 p.m. on December 28th. Both teams come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
On Wednesday, Bunn earned a 43-33 win over East Wake Academy. The victory was just what Bunn needed coming off of a 46-22 defeat in their prior game.
Jameir Strickland was his usual excellent self, scoring 18 points along with eight rebounds and six steals. Those six steals set a new season-high mark for him. The team also got some help courtesy of Domantea Cooke, who scored 14 points along with three steals.
Rolesville can finally bid farewell to their six-game losing streak thanks to their game on Wednesday. Couldn't have asked for a better way to wrap up 2023 than the 84-43 stomp they got at home against Henderson Collegiate. Rolesville's offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.
The victory got Bunn back to even at 5-5. As for Rolesville, their victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 3-6.
Bunn came up short against Rolesville in their previous matchup back in December of 2021, falling 51-38. Can Bunn avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
