At the plate, the team relied heavily on Archer Horn, who got on base in all four of his plate appearances with one home run and two runs. AJ Wineinger was another key player, going 1-for-4 with two RBI and one double.
Sacred Heart Cathedral Preparatory's defeat dropped their record down to 5-3. As for St. Ignatius College Preparatory, they now have a winning record of 3-2-2.
The batters for both teams will have to hit smart on Saturday as both have some strikeout artists on the roster. Sacred Heart Cathedral Preparatory has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 7.6 strikeouts per game. However, it's not like St. Ignatius College Preparatory struggles in that department as they've been averaging 7.6 strikeouts. Considering how easily both teams rack up Ks, the hitters on both teams better bring their A-game into this one.
