Las Animas has gone a perfect 3-0 against Hoehne recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. Las Animas came out on top against Peyton on Saturday thanks in part to the team's impressive four-run fourth inning. The Trojans took their matchup against the Panthers 7-2. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Trojans.
Kree Wallace was excellent, going 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, one run, and one double. Another player making a difference was Logan Servaes, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run.
Meanwhile, the third road contest was the charm for Hoehne, as they earned their first away victory of the season. They came out on top against Rocky Ford by a score of 4-1 on Tuesday.
Jacob Magninat spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned run on two hits.
On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Antonio Cantoria, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with three stolen bases and one run.
Hoehne picked up their first road win, bumping their record up to 2-6-1. As for Las Animas, their record now sits at 8-1.
Hoehne's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Las Animas hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .433. It's a different story for Hoehne, though, as they've only averaged .249. Will they be able to contain Las Animas' hitters?
Las Animas came out on top in a nail-biter against Hoehne in their previous matchup two weeks ago, sneaking past 10-8. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Trojans since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
