If the Bishop Carroll Huskies were riding high off their 66-44 takedown of the Bedford Bisons last Wednesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. Bishop Carroll fell 65-55 to Bishop McCort on Friday. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
Bishop Carroll's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Luke Repko, who scored 24 points along with seven rebounds. Another player making a difference was Jace Casses, who scored 18 points along with four steals.
Bishop Carroll has traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 11-9 record this season. As for Bishop McCort, their victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 10-11.
Bishop Carroll will square off against Greater Johnstown at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. One thing working in Greater Johnstown's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last five matches. As for Bishop McCort, they will look to defend their home court on Monday against Penn Cambria at 7:15 p.m. Hopefully Penn Cambria focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up five last Wednesday.
