Everything went their way against Collingswood as Eastside made off with a 86-66 win. Given Eastside's advantage in MaxPreps' New Jersey basketball rankings (they are ranked 38th, while Collingswood is ranked 363rd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Eastside had a senior duo take command as Jahaan Green dropped a double-double on 26 points and ten rebounds and Jalen Long scored 23 points along with eight assists and six steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Green has scored all season. Will Love was another key contributor, scoring 11 points along with eight rebounds and four steals.
Eastside's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 10-6. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 70.3 points per game. As for Collingswood, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-14.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Eastside won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Franklin at 1:00 p.m. on January 27th. Franklin is coming into the match hot, having won their last four games. As for Collingswood, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Woodbury at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
