The Mira Mesa Marauders will face off against the High Tech Mesa Thunder at 6:15 p.m. on Wednesday. Mira Mesa will be strutting in after a win while High Tech Mesa will be coming in after a loss.
On Tuesday, Mira Mesa was able to grind out a solid victory over Hilltop, taking the game 3-1. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Marauders.
Mira Mesa had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. The match finished with set scores of 22-25, 25-19, 25-22, 25-23.

Mira Mesa can attribute much of their success to Bailey McBride, who had 13 digs and three aces. That's the most digs McBride has posted since back in September.
Meanwhile, High Tech Mesa unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-match winning streak on Tuesday. They fell 3-1 to Chula Vista Learning Community Charter.
While High Tech Mesa ultimately came up short, they didn't go down without a fight: they scored at least 17 points in every set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-18, 25-18, 24-26, 25-17.
The win got Mira Mesa back to even at 11-11. As for High Tech Mesa, their defeat was their first in the league, dropping their league record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 9-8.
Mira Mesa was able to grind out a solid victory over High Tech Mesa when the teams last played back in September of 2022, winning 2-0. Do the Marauders have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Thunder turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
