North Eugene had to suffer through an eight-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They put the hurt on Eagle Point with a sharp 42-19 win. The Highlanders were expected to win, but the margin was definitely larger than the rankings had forecast.
North Eugene got off to a slow start in their game last week against Ashland, but they had no such trouble against Eagle Point as they cruised to a 21-point first half. Eagle Point countered with 7 points, leaving the score at 21-7 going into the half. North Eugene's offense just added to that total in the second half en route to their big win.
The victory bumped North Eugene's record up to 1-8. Eagle Point is on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-7. Both of these squads appear to have finished up the season, as they have no upcoming games scheduled.
