Bear River has gone a perfect 5-0 against Stansbury recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Wednesday. The Bears will be playing at home against the Stallions at 3:30 p.m. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Bear River has five straight victories, Stansbury has five straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the field.
Bear River is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. Their pitcher stepped up to hand Green Canyon a 17-0 shutout on Tuesday. The Bears might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won five games by six runs or more this season.
Brielle Gardiner was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She struck out seven batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits (and not a single walk). Gardiner was also big at the plate, going a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run and five RBI.

In other batting news, Samantha Theurer was incredible, going a perfect 4-for-4 with five RBI, three runs, and one triple. Those five RBI gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Marley Tisdol, who went 2-for-3 with one home run, two RBI, and one double.
Bear River always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .688. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Green Canyon only posted an OBP of .000.
Meanwhile, Stansbury fought the good fight in their extra-innings matchup against Tooele on Tuesday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Buffaloes by a score of 7-6.
Bonnie Barnett made the most of her time in the batter's box despite the final result and got on base in all four of her plate appearances with one triple and one RBI. That triple marked the first that she has hit this season. Allie Barnett was another key player, going 1-for-2 with one run, one double, and one RBI.
Bear River's win bumped their record up to 12-4. As for Stansbury, their loss dropped their record down to 6-8.
Wednesday's contest will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Bear River hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .361. However, it's not like Stansbury struggles in that department as they've averaged .381. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Bear River got the 'W' when the teams last played back in May of 2025 against Stansbury by a conclusive 9-0 score. Will the Bears repeat their success, or do the Stallions have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
