There's no place like home for the Southwestern Trojans, who bounced back after a tough loss on the road last Thursday. They took down Clymer Central 47-29 on Monday. For Southwestern, this counts as revenge for the 49-47 loss Clymer Central walked away with the last time they faced one another back in February.
Clymer Central's loss came despite strong showings from Tanner Mihalko and Joseph Beckerink. Mihalko scored ten points, while Beckerink scored four points along with three steals.
The win got Southwestern back to even at 1-1. As for Clymer Central, their loss ended a seven-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 1-1.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Southwestern will take on Ellicottville at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Hopefully Ellicottville focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 26 on Tuesday. As for Clymer Central, they will be playing at home against Maple Grove at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday.
