Scottsdale Christian Academy had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They blew past the Highland Prep West HORNETS 40-11 on Thursday. The Eagles not only won on Thursday, but they posted their biggest win since January 10th (when they won 72-16).

Scottsdale Christian Academy was led to victory by Kenna Stockton and Kinzie Stockton. Kenna almost dropped a double-double with 14 points and nine rebounds, while Kinzie went 6-for-11 to rack up 13 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Esther Ortega, who posted three points in addition to five boards and three steals.

Looking ahead, Scottsdale Christian Academy will square off against San Tan Charter at 11:30 a.m. on Friday. As for Highland Prep West, they will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Trivium Prep at 6:00 p.m. on December 1. The matchup will give the HORNETS their first taste of in-conference action this season.
