Eagle Ridge Academy has been on the road for three straight, but on Tuesday they'll finally head home. They will take on the Forge Christian Fury at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, the two teams will really light up the scoreboard.
Eagle Ridge Academy scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Friday. They took down DSST: Cedar 70-53. The victory was just what Eagle Ridge Academy needed coming off of a 68-44 loss in their prior game.
Eagle Ridge Academy found their leader in underclassman Aiden Wanrow, who dropped a double-double on 31 points and 23 rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Wanrow has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Isaiah Garcia, who scored 15 points along with five steals.
Meanwhile, Forge Christian unfortunately witnessed the end of their ten-game winning streak on Thursday. They fell 78-65 to Kent Denver. Forge Christian was down 69-47 at the end of the third quarter, which was just too much to recover from.
Eagle Ridge Academy's win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 6-11. As for Forge Christian, their defeat ended an eight-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 13-2.
Eagle Ridge Academy didn't have too much breathing room in their matchup against the Fury in their previous meeting back in February of 2023, but they still walked away with a 61-55 victory. Will Eagle Ridge Academy repeat their success, or do the Fury have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
