Having just played yesterday, the El Camino Eagles will jump right back in to play the Dixon Rams at 8:45 p.m. on Thursday. El Camino is hoping to put an end to a six-game streak of away losses dating back to last season.
On Wednesday, the stars were shining brightly for El Camino in a 58-43 victory over Highlands.
El Camino's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Gavin Bennett, who scored 13 points along with five rebounds. Those five rebounds set a new season-high mark for him. The team also got some help courtesy of Justin Watts, who scored six points along with five rebounds and four steals.
Meanwhile, after a string of three wins, Dixon's good fortune finally ran out on Saturday. They had to suffer through a rough 62-30 loss at the hands of Liberty Ranch. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Dixon has scored all season.
El Camino's win bumped their record up to 3-8. As for Dixon, they now have a losing record at 5-6.
El Camino strolled past Dixon in their previous meeting back in December of 2019 by a score of 59-42. Does El Camino have another victory up their sleeve, or will Dixon turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
