The Nebraska Lutheran Knights won against the Giltner Hornets last Tuesday with 60 points and they decided to stick to that point total again on Tuesday. Nebraska Lutheran put the hurt on Giltner with a sharp 60-34 victory. The victory was just business as usual for Nebraska Lutheran, who after three games remain undefeated this season.
Nebraska Lutheran got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Isaac Beiermann out in front who scored 15 points along with six rebounds and three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Lucas Corwin, who scored nine points along with six rebounds and five steals.
Defeat or not, Giltner got some senior leadership from Preston Larson who scored 12 points along with seven rebounds and Taylor Smith who scored eight points. The game was Larson's fourth in a row with at least ten points.
Nebraska Lutheran pushed their record up to 3-0 with that victory, which was their third straight at home. They've been dominating during the matches in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 26 points. As for Giltner, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-2.
Nebraska Lutheran will head out on the road to face off against Exeter-Milligan/Friend at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Exeter-Milligan/Friend knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past three games -- so hopefully Nebraska Lutheran likes a good challenge. Giltner will be home for the holidays to greet High Plains on Friday.
