It was a good run, but the East Bernard Brahmas unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-game winning streak on Friday. They fell 47-37 to Van Vleck. East Bernard was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Van Vleck apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in February of 2023.
Corey Austin continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Van Vleck, scoring 20 points along with five rebounds and four steals. That makes it seven consecutive games in which Austin has scored at least a third of Van Vleck's points. Another player making a difference was Micah Burks, who scored ten points along with eight rebounds.
East Bernard's defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 11-6. As for Van Vleck, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 13-7 record this season.
East Bernard will head out on the road to take on Danbury at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Danbury has now lost seven straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since December 22. As for Van Vleck, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Harmony School of Discovery at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Harmony School of Discovery is still on the hunt for that elusive first 'W'.
