On Thursday, Kelly Walsh was able to grind out a solid victory over Lyman, taking the game 44-31.
Kelly Walsh got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Kennedy Davila out in front who scored 14 points along with three steals. Davila is absolutely dominating the steal category: she's posted at least two every time she's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was Lillian Hudson, who scored nine points along with six rebounds.
Lyman lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Addison Smith, who scored ten points. Those ten points set a new season-high mark for her. Payton Anderson was another key contributor, scoring six points along with seven rebounds.
The victory got Kelly Walsh back to even at 2-2. As for Lyman, they have fallen quite a ways from their 21-7 record last season and are now at 1-3.
Kelly Walsh will head out on the road to face off against Bear Lake at 11:20 a.m. on Friday. Lyman will be staying on the road on Friday to face off against Natrona County on December 15th. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Wyoming (Natrona County is ranked 45th, while Lyman is ranked 31st).
