It was another big night for Carly Davison, who dropped a double-double on 20 points and 11 assists. She continues to roll, besting her previous point total in each of the last three games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Sara Parkison, who scored 17 points along with eight rebounds and five assists.
Despite the defeat, Faith Christian saw an underclassman step up: Maya Layton scored 20 points along with five steals and four blocks. That was a full 62.5% of Faith Christian's points, marking the fourth time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points. Another player making a difference was Hannah Bolton, who scored eight points.
Faith Christian struggled to work together and finished the game with only three assists. They were crushed by their opponents in that department as Clinton Central racked up 22 assists.
Clinton Central pushed their record up to 19-1 with that victory, which was their seventh straight on the road. As for Faith Christian, they have been struggling recently, as they've lost six of their last seven games, which put a noticeable dent in their 10-10 record this season.
Clinton Central will be playing in front of their home fans against Tri-County at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Tri-County will be looking to extend their current four-game winning streak. As for Faith Christian, they will head out on the road to face off against West Central at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Indiana (West Central is ranked 208th, while Faith Christian is ranked 218th).
