Taylorsville and West Jordan are an even 5-5 against one another since May of 2019, but likely not for long. The Warriors will challenge the Jaguars at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Taylorsville will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more runs each contest than the last.
Taylorsville is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They blew past Hunter 22-16 on Monday. Considering the Warriors have won four matchups by more than five runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.

The team relied heavily on Megan Sterzer, who fired off two home runs, five runs, and six RBI while going 3-for-5. Those six RBI gave her a new career-high. Sonnet Magalogo also deserves some recognition as she brought in her first RBI of the season.
Taylorsville was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .442. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their batting average total in three consecutive games.
Meanwhile, after a string of three wins, West Jordan's good fortune finally ran out on Tuesday. They fell 9-5 to Copper Hills.
Rita Tavita was huge no matter where she played even without the win. She looked comfortable on the mound, pitching 3.1 innings while giving up no earned runs off three hits. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than one earned run in three consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going a perfect 2-for-2 with two runs, one triple, and one double.
Tavita wasn't the only one making solid contact as four players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Andrea Tagovailoa, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base and two RBI. Tagovailoa has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last four times she's played. Arianna Fjeldsted was another, scoring a run and stealing two bases while going 1-for-3.
Taylorsville is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-4 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.5 runs over those games. As for West Jordan, the loss was their first on the road , dropping their record down to 8-3.
Wednesday's match will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Taylorsville hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .320. However, it's not like West Jordan struggles in that department as they've averaged .391. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Taylorsville suffered a grim 9-3 defeat to West Jordan in their previous meeting two weeks ago. Can the Warriors avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
