The Tocoi Creek Toros were the 50-45 winner over the Atlantic Coast Stingrays when they last played one another back in January of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. Tocoi Creek took a 51-46 hit to the loss column at the hands of Atlantic Coast. Tocoi Creek has been going strong on the season, but this is now their second loss in a row.
Despite the loss, Tocoi Creek still got an impressive performance from Audrey Beyer, who dropped a double-double on 21 points and ten rebounds. Beyer hasn't dropped below two steals for six straight games. Gabi Iturralde was another key contributor, scoring 14 points along with three steals.
Tocoi Creek's defeat dropped their record down to 15-6. As for Atlantic Coast, they pushed their record up to 17-2 with that victory, which was their eighth straight at home.
Tocoi Creek will be staying on the road on Thursday to face off against Orange Park at 6:00 p.m. on January 25th. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Florida (Orange Park is ranked 100th, while Tocoi Creek is ranked 94th). As for Atlantic Coast, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Creekside at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
