Despite the defeat, Carl Junction saw an underclassman step up: Brody Pant scored 14 points along with five assists and five rebounds. Another player making a difference was Jett Hocut, who scored five points along with six rebounds.
Carthage is on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last 11 games, which provided a nice bump to their 13-6 record this season. As for Carl Junction, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 9-10.

As for Carl Junction, they will head out on the road to take on Branson at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Carl Junction focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 22 on Tuesday.
