The Carthage Tigers won the last time they faced the Carl Junction Bulldogs, and things went their way on Tuesday too. Carthage came out on top against Carl Junction by a score of 59-50. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Carthage.
Despite the defeat, Carl Junction saw an underclassman step up: Brody Pant scored 14 points along with five assists and five rebounds. Another player making a difference was Jett Hocut, who scored five points along with six rebounds.
Carthage is on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last 11 games, which provided a nice bump to their 13-6 record this season. As for Carl Junction, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 9-10.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Carthage will challenge Nixa at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Nixa has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 567 points over their last eight contests. As for Carl Junction, they will head out on the road to take on Branson at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Carl Junction focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 22 on Tuesday.
