Dansville is 9-1 against Saranac since February of 2019, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Wednesday. The Dansville Aggies will head out on the road to take on the Saranac Redhawks at 7:00 p.m. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Dansville has five straight wins, Saranac has 12 straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the field.
Last Friday, Dansville didn't have too much trouble with Lansing Christian at home as they won 38-23. Given Dansville's advantage in MaxPreps' Michigan basketball rankings (they are ranked 102nd, while Lansing Christian is ranked 304th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
megan zeitz continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, dropping a double-double on 20 points and ten rebounds. Zeitz is crushing the steal category: she's posted at least three every time she's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was Ryker Graf, who scored 14 points.
Meanwhile, things could have been worse for Saranac, but they could have been a whole lot better as they took a 40-25 loss to Lakeview on Monday.
Dansville's win was their 16th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 11-3. As for Saranac, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-13.
Everything went Dansville's way against Saranac in their previous matchup back in December of 2023 as Dansville made off with a 50-26 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Dansville since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
