Collins brought a six-game winning streak into their matchup against Perry Central last Friday; they left with a seven-game streak. Collins were fully in charge, breezing past Perry Central 35-0. Junior Hershey Mclaurin was the offensive standout of the match for Collins, as he accumulated 195 passing yards and punched in 2 rushing TDs. If you haven't heard Mclaurin's name lately, then you haven't been paying much attention: he has loomed large in their past nine games.
Meanwhile, St. Patrick might have drawn first blood against Clarkdale, but it was Clarkdale who got the last laugh. St. Patrick fell to Clarkdale 14-28. St. Patrick can't seem to catch a break and have now endured five losses in a row.
