Leon has won eight straight games at home (dating back to last season), while Wakulla has won eight straight on the road, but those streaks won't matter much on Tuesday. The Leon Lions will host the Wakulla War Eagles at 4:30 p.m. Leon is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.5 runs per game this season.
Leon's pitching crew heads into the match hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Friday. They were the clear victor by a 9-0 margin over Rickards. The Lions haven't had any issues with the Raiders recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive victory against them.

Kolbe Baker and Robert Steele made a splash while hitting and pitching. Throwing, Baker tossed 3.2 innings while giving up no earned runs off three hits. Meanwhile, Steele pitched 2.1 innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. What's more, he posted four strikeouts, the most he's had since back in April of 2024. At bat, Baker went 2-for-4 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs, while Steele scored a run while going 2-for-4. That home run was Baker's first of the season.
In other batting news, Connor Borges was excellent, scoring a run and stealing two bases while getting on base in two of his five plate appearances. He is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now stole at least one in each of the last four games he's played. Caleb Horne was another key player, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 2-for-3.
Leon kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least eight hits in three consecutive games.
Meanwhile, Wakulla's undefeated season came to an end after five games on Thursday. They came up short against Maclay, falling 13-7. The loss was the War Eagles' first of the season.
Sam Bruce made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored a run and stole two bases while going 1-for-3. The team also got some help courtesy of Joshua Merrill, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-3.
Having lost for the first time this season, Wakulla fell to 5-1. As for Leon, their win bumped their record up to 8-0.
The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Tuesday as neither team is afraid to steal. Leon has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 3 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Wakulla struggles in that department as they've been averaging 9.2 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
Leon couldn't quite finish off Wakulla in their previous matchup back in March of 2024 and fell 6-4. Can Leon avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
