Deerfield Beach's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Tatiana Ramsey led the charge by scoring eight points along with ten rebounds and seven assists. That's the first time this season that Ramsey pulled down eight or more rebounds. Shanice Rebecca was another key contributor, scoring nine points along with five rebounds and four blocks.
Despite the loss, Boyd Anderson had strong showings from Ja'Kira Dennis, who scored 15 points along with two steals, and Jakaylia Roland, who scored ten points along with four steals and three blocks. Roland is absolutely dominating the steal category: she's posted at least two every time she's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was Haline Bunbury, who scored four points.
Even though they lost, Boyd Anderson smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 16 offensive rebounds. This was only their 12th loss (out of 17 games) when they hit their own glass that hard.
Deerfield Beach has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games, which provided a nice bump to their 11-7 record this season. As for Boyd Anderson, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-15.
