Cross County has been on the road for four straight, but on Friday they'll finally head home. They will take on the Exeter-Milligan/Friend Bobcats at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Cross County focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up nine on Saturday.
Last Saturday, Cross County ended up a good deal behind Auburn and lost 68-50. While losing is never fun, Cross County can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Nebraska basketball rankings (they are ranked 58th, while Auburn is ranked eighth).
Defeat or not, Cross County got some senior leadership from Tanner Hollinger and Ashton Seim. Hollinger scored 18 points along with two steals, while Seim. scored 13 points.
Cross County struggled to get the ball back on offense and finished the game with only two offensive rebounds. That's the fewest offensive rebounds they've managed all season.
Meanwhile, Exeter-Milligan/Friend didn't have too much trouble with Diller-Odell at home on Friday as they won 51-35.
Cross County's defeat ended a seven-game streak of away wins and brought them to 18-5. As for Exeter-Milligan/Friend, their win bumped their record up to 13-8.
