Nixon is a perfect 7-0 against Juarez-Lincoln since October of 2022 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Saturday. The Mustangs will host the Huskies at 12:00 p.m. The timing is sure in Nixon's favor as the squad sits on four straight wins at home while Juarez-Lincoln has been banged up by eight consecutive losses on the road.
On Tuesday, Nixon didn't have quite enough to beat Cigarroa and fell 3-2.
Nixon was was forced to take the loss, but they sure made Cigarroa work for it, especially in the fourth set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 22-25, 25-23, 23-25, 26-24, 15-11.

Despite their loss, Nixon saw several players rise to the challenge and make noteworthy plays. Alayna Martinez, who had 23 digs and two aces, was perhaps the best of all. Martinez is also on a roll when it comes to assists, as she's now posted 12 or more in each of the last four games she's played. Another player making a difference was Mia Arevalo, who had 31 assists and 19 digs.
Meanwhile, Juarez-Lincoln lost 3-0 to Mission Veterans Memorial on Tuesday.
The final score came out to 25-11, 25-11, 25-13.
Juarez-Lincoln's defeat dropped their record down to 2-22. As for Nixon, their loss dropped their record down to 19-17.
Nixon took their win against Juarez-Lincoln in their previous meeting back in September by a conclusive 3-0 score. Do the Mustangs have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Huskies turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
