Basketball Recap: Combs Piles Up the Points Against Chandler Prep

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Dysart, Combs was happy to have turned things around on Thursday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Chandler Prep Titans 60-23. The matchup marked the Coyotes' most dominant win of the season so far.

Combs' success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Quinmetris Cunningham led the charge by almost dropping a double-double on 16 points and nine boards. Cunningham is also crushing it when it comes to blocks: he's posted at least two every time he's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was Logan Tuckfield, who went 5 of 8 en route to 12 points.

Combs smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 21 offensive boards. That's the most offensive rebounds they've managed all season.

Combs is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a nice bump to their 7-4 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 57.6 points per game. As for Chandler Prep, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-10.

Combs wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 59-44 victory against Gilbert Classical Academy on the 3rd. As for Chandler Prep, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 64-33 defeat against Florence on the 3rd.
