Basketball Game Preview: Mount Calvary Christian Chargers vs. Millersburg Indians

Mount Calvary Christian and Millersburg are an even 4-4 against one another since February of 2015, but not for long. The Mount Calvary Christian Chargers will look to take advantage of their home court for the first time this season as they take on the Millersburg Indians at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. One thing working in Mount Calvary Christian's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points every time they've taken the court this season.

Mount Calvary Christian picked up another tournament win on Saturday. They came out on top against Northumberland Christian by a score of 58-47.

Mount Calvary Christian relied on the efforts of Trey Robinson, who posted 20 points, and Josiah Masters, who had 20 points. The contest was Masters' third in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jackson Hughes, who put up six points.

Meanwhile, in a tight matchup that could have gone either way, Millersburg made off with a 53-52 victory over Upper Dauphin Area.

Mount Calvary Christian better keep an eye on Colt Bellis. He was instrumental in Millersburg's win, dropping a double-double on 20 points and 11 rebounds. The dominant performance gave Bellis a new career-high in points. Another player making a difference was Lyniel Johnson, who posted 11 points.

The win got Millersburg back to even at 2-2. As for Mount Calvary Christian, they now have a winning record of 2-1.

Everything went Mount Calvary Christian's way against Millersburg in their previous meeting back in February of 2022, as Mount Calvary Christian made off with a 60-40 victory. One of the biggest obstacles trying to stand in the way of that victory was Millersburg's Kyle Long, who went 5 of 10 on his way to 11 points and eight rebounds.
