The Wenonah Dragons have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won seven matchups by 24 points or more this season. They simply couldn't be stopped on Wednesday as they easily beat Fultondale 54-15 on the road. The victory was nothing new for Wenonah as they're now sitting on seven straight.
Samarian Franklin was her usual excellent self, scoring 27 points along with seven rebounds and seven steals. That makes it three consecutive games in which she has scored at least 25% of Wenonah's points. Jakerria Ringstaff was another key contributor, scoring two points along with seven assists and seven rebounds.
Wenonah pushed their record up to 15-4 with that win, which was their fourth straight on the road. As for Fultondale, they are on a eight-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-11.
Wenonah and Woodlawn will round out the year against one another at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday at. Woodlawn will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Alabama Rankings (they are ranked 218th, while Wenonah is ranked 45th). Fultondale won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Carver Birmingham at 2:30 p.m. on December 21st. Carver Birmingham has now lost eight straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since November 14.
