4A Greater Neuse River recap Nov. 7, 2012
Garner Magnet extended the longest winning streak in 4A Greater Neuse River this week by beating Athens Drive, 59-21. The victory was the 12th in a row for the team.
Garner Magnet took down the Jaguars 59-21 last week, the largest margin of any game.
Garner Magnet's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Trojans feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Vincent Jefferies has thrown for 1379 yards and 16 touchdowns this season, while Armani Lanier has 41 catches for 820 yards. Raevon Smith leads the league in rushing with 1205 yards.
Clayton made the biggest jump in the national rankings this week, rising to 1,996 from 2,763. The advance stemmed from a 39-14 victory over Knightdale last week.
