Hobart probably have a sour taste in their mouth after their recent playoff matchup against East Noble. Hobart was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap on Friday as they fell 29-24 to East Noble. The Brickies' loss signaled the end of their 11-game winning streak.
East Noble's senior Bailey Parker was slinging it as he picked up 104 yards on the ground on 27 carries and accumulated 265 passing yards. Parker has been a consistent playmaker for East Noble as this was the 14th good game in a row from him. More help came courtesy of junior Jacob VanGorder, who was good for 12 tackles.
The Brickies' overall record now falls to 11-3. The win for the Knights kept them a perfect 14-0.
Hobart's playoff loss brings an end to their season. East Noble will go up against Evansville Memorial in continuing playoff action next week. The stakes are high as those two teams are all in, each fighting to extend its postseason success.
