They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 6-5 victory over the Rains Wildcats. The win was familiar territory for the Eagles, who have now won four games in a row.
Baylee Grant made a big impact no matter where she played. On the mound, she struck out seven batters over seven innings while giving up just two earned (and three unearned) runs off five hits. She has been consistent for a while: she hasn't given up more than two walks in ten consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 2-for-4.
In other batting news, Jordynn Williams was incredible, scoring two runs while going 4-for-4. What's more, she posted two doubles, the most she's had since back in March of 2024.
