The Covington Chargers came into Tuesday's game having lost six straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They took down Craigmont 71-56 on Tuesday. That 15 point margin sets a new team best for Covington this season.
Covington found their leader in underclassman Devon Mason, who dropped a double-double on 19 points and 12 rebounds. Elijah Ford was another key contributor, scoring ten points along with six rebounds and five assists.
Despite the loss, Craigmont still got an impressive performance from Christopher Taylor, who scored 22 points. That was a full 39.3% of Craigmont's points, marking the fourth time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. Another player making a difference was Tashun Lewis, who scored six points.
Covington's victory bumped their record up to 4-17. As for Craigmont, their defeat was their ninth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 3-17.
Covington does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Craigmont also has no future games currently scheduled.
