Alana Carroll put up the most strikeouts she's had since back in February of 2024 on Tuesday. She pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit, good enough for us to rate the performance as the best she's had all season long. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than one walk in four consecutive appearances.

Looking ahead, Carroll and SouthWest Edgecombe will challenge Hobgood Charter at 6:45 p.m. on Wednesday. Hobgood Charter will enter the matchup having just beaten North East Carolina Prep, so SouthWest Edgecombe will have to guard against a team looking to keep the ball rolling.
