You're bound to get a positive result if you outscore your opponent every quarter, and that's exactly how it played out for the Highlands Ranch Falcons this past Friday. They took their matchup on the road with ease, bagging a 66-27 victory over the Castle View Sabercats. The game was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 48-18.
Highlands Ranch found their leader in underclassman sophomore Taylor Ray, who had 22 points. Sophomore Alex Pirog was another key contributor, picking up 15 points.
The win was the ninth in a row for the Falcons and raised their record to 17-4. This is the second loss in a row for Castle View and nudges their record down to 7-14.
Highlands Ranch is staying on the road on Tuesday to face off against Regis Jesuit. Those two teams are among the who's who of the state, so expect a thrilling contest. As for Castle View, they will go up against Ponderosa on Tuesday. Castle View's scoring has been on the decline the past three games, which is obviously a trend Ponderosa hopes will continue.
