Basketball Recap: Johns Creek Takes a Loss

Johns Creek was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They took a 51-41 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Parkview Panthers. The Gladiators were not able to make up for their loss to the Panthers from their previous meeting back in December of 2020.

When it comes to explaining why Johns Creek lost, don't look at Florida Johnson. Despite the final result, she posted 15 points in addition to eight rebounds and six steals. Johnson is crushing it when it comes to boards: she's pulled down at least eight every time she's taken the court this season. Emma Bousarkis was another key player, putting up six points.

Leading Parkview to victory were Corrin Sevier and Malina Page. Sevier went 7-for-13 on her way to 17 points and six steals, while Page scored 12 points and four steals. That's the most points Sevier has posted since back in November of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Jordyn Evans, who put up ten points and eight rebounds.

Johns Creek now has a losing record of 2-3. As for Parkview, their win bumped their record up to 3-1.

Johns Creek wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 49-39 victory against Decatur on the 25th. As for Parkview, they have also already played their next matchup, a 52-43 defeat against Stephenson on the 25th.
