Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Redlands). They put the hurt on the Rim of the World Fighting Scots with a sharp 15-1 win on Thursday. Perhaps unsurprisingly given the team's high-flying offense, the game also marked the team's biggest victory of the season.
Redlands got a massive performance out of Kaylah Knudsen, who went 2-for-3 with two triples, three RBI, and two runs. The dominant performance gave Knudsen a new career-high in RBI. Shay Figueroa was another key player, scoring two runs while going 3-for-4.
Knudsen wasn't the only one working in the hit department: Redlands kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 13 hits. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their hit total in three consecutive games.
Redlands pushed their record up to 4-7 with the win, which was their third straight at home. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.0 runs over those games.
