Eastland had already won two in a row and they went ahead and made it three on Saturday. They walked away with a 2-0 victory over the Newman Central Catholic Comets. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Cougars also won the last time the pair played back in October of 2024.

Trixie Carroll paced Eastland's offense, picking up 16 kills. Carroll got some help from Keara Kaus and her 17 assists.

Eastland's win bumped their record up to 21-8. As for Newman Central Catholic, their defeat dropped their record down to 11-17.

Eastland didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 2-0 victory against Ashton-Franklin Center on the 18th. As for Newman Central Catholic, they have also already played their next matchup, a 2-1 loss against Durand on the 18th.
