The Reading Blue Devils won the last time they faced the New Richmond Lions, and things went their way on Tuesday too. Reading sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 43-40 win over New Richmond. Despite the victory, that was the fewest points Reading has scored all year.
Several Lions players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Sydney Miller, who scored eight points along with ten rebounds and three steals. Miller is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as she's now pulled down eight or more in the last four games she's played. Kiera Kirk was another key contributor, scoring nine points along with three blocks.
Reading's win bumped their record up to 5-3. As for New Richmond, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-5.
Reading will head out on the road to face off against Deer Park at 8:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for New Richmond, they will look to defend their home court on Thursday against Wilmington at 7:00 p.m. Wilmington is coming into the game on a three-game losing streak.
